The big day is almost here—and while excitement is high, it's totally normal to feel a few jitters. As a wedding photographer who's seen it all, I wanted to share a few helpful tips to make the day before your wedding smooth, calm, and joy-filled.
1. Finalize the Timeline
Double-check the schedule with your planner, photographer, and key vendors. Confirm arrival times and make sure everyone’s on the same page.
2. Pack Your Details
Lay out your wedding dress, shoes, jewelry, and any personal items you want photographed (like invitations, heirlooms, etc.). Having them ready saves time in the morning.
3. Stay Hydrated & Eat Well
It’s tempting to skip meals when you're busy, but staying nourished helps you feel your best—and glow from the inside out.
4. Delegate the Little Stuff
Give small tasks to trusted friends or family. You shouldn’t be worrying about where the cake is or what time flowers arrive.
5. Get Offline for a Bit
Take a break from Instagram and group texts. Soak in the moment. This is your time to be present with your partner and loved ones.
6. Take a Breath
Go for a walk, stretch, or journal your thoughts. A calm mind leads to a calm morning—and it shows in your photos.
7. Sleep (or at least rest!)
Even if you’re too excited to sleep, put your phone down, dim the lights, and give your body a chance to rest.
Final Thought:
You’ve done the planning—now let go and enjoy it. Your wedding day will be beautiful, because it’s yours. Trust the process, trust your people, and trust yourself.
See you soon—with a camera in hand! 📸
